This is my first time on EE since their new format and I'm have trouble figuring out how to search within a specific topic area, so I figured I would try just asking the question.
I'm looking to see if anyone has links to open source vb6 code that will both send and recieve data across a specified IP address and specifed port number.

This answer did provide links to a lot of code routines in regards to using the Winsock control, but as I worked through a few of them I found that this area coding was well out of my comfort zone. I am outsourcing the major part of my project, but plan to use what I have learned here to fill in the gaps.
