Assume that you have a list of countries with a value beside each of them.  Now build a pie chart.  Assume also that you will show the same data as a grid beside this pie chart.

How to color the the country row in the grid, and it's portion of the pie sclice with the same color?  If we were to show the results with a continent grouping countries within it, I would like to this within each group.

I appreciate your help.

It could be that ensuring both the pie and the table use the same sort order is sufficient, but I doubt it.  You're probably going to need to look into setting up custom coloring so that you have full control over what country gets what color.

Have a look at the following article to get you started, it explains how to set up custom coloring on the pie chart: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Microsoft/Development/MS-SQL-Server/MS-SQL_Reporting/A_1884-Pie-Chart-Techniques.html

You are very good.  The article had the idea about using color in the dataset.  Ultimately, that is the cleanest way of doing it.  Being a data guy, I prefer putting things out using data set rather than writing code in the report.  I appreciate your help.
