Exchange 2010 not sending / recieving emails

Hi guys,

This morning our exchange 2010 server stopped sending/recieving email, they are all showing in the Queue however.

In the logs i noticed this pop up unde the MSExchange management logs

(PID 5228, Thread 18) Task Get-Message throwing unhandled exception: System.Management.Automation.PipelineStoppedException: The pipeline has been stopped.
   at System.Management.Automation.MshCommandRuntime.WriteProgress(ProgressRecord progressRecord)
   at System.Management.Automation.Cmdlet.WriteProgress(ProgressRecord progressRecord)
   at Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.Task.AutoReportProgress()
   at Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.Task.ProcessRecord().

Check all the exchage services.
Check the eventlog...

try launching the management shell as administrator (right-click run-as administrator)
it looks like the cmdlet is attempting to write a file and does not have access

Please restart Hub transport service on Exchange server

It turned out to be are logs drive got nearly full, approx 500mb free, this stopped mail routing. Clearing this and restarting the services worked.

Now i need to investigate why Veeam is not purging the logs.
