Using Windows I select the Window+L command and the user logs out. But any programming keep running.

How do I do this on a Mac? When I log out it shuts everything down.

Thanks.

to the best of my knowledge you can't do that. loging out will not run the backup. you can turn on a screensaver in "system settings" than "desktop and screensaver", and force password in "security and privacy"
