How to edit webinterface.conf in WI version 5.4 for automatic detection/download of ICA client

Hello there,

I am in the process of rolling out Access Gateway replacing Secure Gateway, and version 5.4 Web Interface.
Internally we be using Citrix Receiver 13.0 and for external users connecting via Access Gateway, I would like to implement automatic detection and download of ICA Client on external user's PC.
How should I go about? and which plug-in should be made available for users to download?

Please advise.

Thanks and Regards

To do that you need to configure the web interface for client detection and deployment. This involves two stages:

1. Copying the client installation files to the web interface. This is detailed here: http://support.citrix.com/proddocs/topic/web-interface-impington/wi-copy-plugin-installation-files-gransden.html

2. Configure client deployment and installation captions. In this stage you can provide the users with the process in three ways:
    a. Automatically detect client and present the user with the appropriate client. You can also set it to check whether a certain version or higher is available and only prompt for installation when necessary
    b. Allow users to specify their preferred client
    c. Provide the user with links to download the appropriate clients.
This stage configuration is detailed here: http://support.citrix.com/proddocs/topic/web-interface-impington/wi-configure-plugin-deployment-task-gransden.html

As for the plugin I would always prefer the latest 13.0.0.x which is available within the Citrix Receiver 3.0, especially that you are already using it internally.
