Instaling Windows 7 32-bit on Dell Vostro 260 G630 chip

I'm in need of a couple PCs for users to run a database, the database support people recommand 32-bit PCs only. I'll be purchasing a couple of Dell Vostro 260 with the Intel G630 processor which comes with Windows 7 64-bit, I will reformat and install Windows 7 32-bit on them. Any feed back is appricated. I understand I'll lose the warranty but i'm not concern since these are just temp PCs.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

1. The only reasOn I know of for installing a 32 bit os is for driver support. Unless you are attaching barcode scanners or something with 32bit drivers this isn't a good idea.

If you still want to go through with it, most of the dell driver downloads actually have 32but versions included. They are listed as 64bit but if you click the driver you can see its compatible with 32 bit. That means both versions are bundled together. Also the reason dell driver downloads are so large.

If the dell drivers don't work, you can go to the manufacturers site directly to look for drivers for each part.

Again, I think this whole idea is probably not for the best.

Thanks aarontomosky
The database DSN has a known issue with Windows 7 64-bit drivers, also the main printer that will be used with these computers are a bit older and there is no compatible driver, there are universal drivers that can be used but so far they have not proven to be stable which leaves you with a fragile setup.
