I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't know specifics of Teradata, but converting numeric values to dates will depend a little on the flavor of SQL that runs the SELECT statement. Can you elaborate on the version of SQL that is involved?

It might be necessary to convert numeric to character, and then to a DATE data type. Or it might be more direct. It will depend on the functions available through your SQL engine.
