Searching sub-grids from main entity

I have a Contact entity with many sub-grids.  Is it possible to search the contents of the sub-grid fields from the Contact Quick Find View search?

For example, in a sub-grid I have a field called Large Equipment ID but it does not appear on the Contact form or views.

Is there a way to search for this ID from the Contact Quick Find View?  Or do I need to turn on Search for each sub-grid and search from the sub-grid search box?

Thanks

Hi apollo7,

You have to search in individual grids only.

Chinmay,

Thanks, that makes sense.  So, is there an alternative to searching each grid individually?  For example, I open my Active Contacts view and want to find the contact that has Large Equip ID of LE1234567 (which is contained in subgrid)

Since it is not feasible to open each Contact until I find the right subgrid contents, is this something that  could be handled with Advanced Find or some other method?

Thanks
