Bad cache battery.

I have a ProLiant ML350 G5 HP- 2 and after replacing the cache battery it's been a couple months and now I'm getting warnings to replace it again. Is there a way to find out if it's the battery or the board?

Probably just hook up your standard multimeter to the battery unit (with it disconnected from the server) if you have one, and make sure the voltage is correct.  As far as the board, maybe one of the other experts has an idea.

If you have identical servers, or at least battery units, try swapping between the servers and see if the problem follows the battery.

Thanks for the idea's, I am doing this remotely and I'm not onsite, 1 server so no batt swapping will work. I suppose I could have him hook up a multimeter but I was thinking more along the lines of firmware/diagnostic tools?
