Hi Experts,

I currently have Windows 7 Pro x64 and runnung IIS with ASP and SQL 2008 R2 Express. This is my development machine.

I am wondering how can I add PHP and MySQL to this mix as I am a new PHP programmer, but experienced in ASP. I am trying to mix all 4 together (ASP, PHP, SQL and MySQL)

The PHP Installer offers an option for IIS integration in it's setup.
http://php.iis.net/ may help you with the download and forums.

The main step to do in IIS is to connect the php file extension with php FastCGI, and I did that manually. Don't remember the details, but it was no headache hard to find hidden sub option, otherwise I'd remember a struggle with this.

MySQL doesn't need IIS integration as MS SQL Server does not, too. So simply go for the normal MySQL installation.

PHP will have native access to MySQL, you don't need to install MySQL ODBC connector.

Bye, Olaf.
