Hello,

I have a problem with report viewer in my ASP.NET application.

The report have 2 dates in default parameters.

When i debug my ASP.NET application in Visual Sudio 2008 there are no error and the report is load  correctly but when i deploy the application on IIS this message appears :

The DefaultValue expression for the report parameter ‘dteDeb’ contains an error: Conversion from string "30/3/2010" to type 'Date' is not valid. (rsRuntimeErrorInExpression)

Any ideas?
Regards

You have a field (Edit Box / column) bound to type string and you are trying to populate date there.  The reason why date works properly in some systems is, if they perhaps type the date directly in the correct format.  If you trying to use CFL, then, it will give an error.  Check on this point.

One more point to be kept in mind is, date when saved, should go to the back end column as "yyyy-MM-dd".  Also check on this.

Thanks for your response techChallenger1

My parameters are in dateTime format in the report and when i load the report on my report server all is alright.

I think it's regional setting that is the problem. But, i can't change it.

Is there a solution to force regional settings in the ASP.NET application ?
