Remove category in breadcrumb

I turned on the breadcrumbs in my joomla site, but now there is actually one breacrumb too many.

Home -> company-IT -> IT ->  Hardware en Infrastructuur

That 'IT' one is just the name of the category the 'Hardware en...' belongs to.
If I click on 'IT' I get a page which all the articles using that category.
But I don't want that , how can I disable this 'category' entering my breadcrumbs ?

Commented the text
$category =
JCategories::getInstance('Content')->get($this->item->catid);
                  while ($category && ($menu->query['option'] != 'com_content' ||
$menu->query['view'] == 'article' || $id != $category->id) &&
$category->id > 1)
                  {
                        $path[] = array('title' => $category->title, 'link' =>
ContentHelperRoute::getCategoryRoute($category->id));
                        $category = $category->getParent();
                  }

in the file components\com_content\views\article\view.html.php  and it was gone.
