Why does Safari suddenly display Untitled instances?

I am not sure what I might be doing to cause this or what configurations may have changed, but when I open Safari, there is a blank one open as well. It's completely white and when viewed in the menu, shows up as Untitled.

Any idea??

There are a couple of things that you can check:

1. go to Preferences > General   Check out the value next to "New Windows Open With?". If this is Empty Page, Try Home Page.

2. go to  Preferences > Extensions . If you have any installed extensions, turn them off, quit then relaunch Safari to test.

You can also try doing the same for plugins. If that help try http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3230?viewlocale=en_US for Troubleshooting Plug-ins.

Hopefully one of these will work for you. Good Luck!

1) It was already set to Homepage
2) No Extensions, the list was empty

Go to Preferences > Security  and Deselect:  Enable plugins. See if that makes any difference.

Glad to hear that. Now use the following article for troubleshooting plugins: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3230?viewlocale=en_US

- Remove any unsupported third-party add-ons you've installed (see if the add-on's installer includes an uninstall feature).

Go to Help menu and click on the Installed Plugins option. A new window will open with details about the plugins.
