Need Citrix Xenapp connection options

We just installed Xenapp and the speed is extremely slow from our external location to the servers.  I've installed Citrix Receiver on the computers and we are connecting through the Web Interface.

I still have our old farm inplace and the speed is so much faster.  To connect to that farm we used Program Neighborhood.

How do I get the connection to the new farm at the same speed as the old farm?

Today is the first day we used it.  The support company that installed it won't be back until Monday so I'm looking for any help I can get.

Check things like HDX in the Citrix policies. This is what used to be called Speedscreen - it optimizes the Citrix ICA protocol.

Do your users come directly to the WI or via a Citrix Access Gateway (CAG) / NetScaler?

Which version of XenApp is it?

I looked in policies and didn't see anything for HDX.  Where exactly would this be?

Users are accessing through WI.

I believe it's Xenapp 6.5  Where can I get the version info?
At what points do you face the delays?

-> When accessing the website?

-> When the apps get enumerated?

-> When launching an app?

-> While working and doing operations within an app?
When launching and working with an app.
Setup session prelaunch to resolve delays in launching apps - here is a guide:
http://blogs.citrix.com/2012/02/10/a-field-guide-to-xenapp-session-pre-launch/

Citrix HDX policies for dealing with delays within the apps:

Citrix policy - Computer Settings:
ICA - Multimedia:
    -> HDX MediaStream
ICA – Graphics:
    -> Image caching
    -> Queueing and tossing

Citrix policy - User Settings:
ICA - Graphics:
    -> Image compression
ICA - Multimedia:
    -> HDX Multimedia for Flash (server side)
    -> HDX MediaStream for Flash (client side)

You can also use branch repeater plugin with slow links to enhance the experience.

One more thing; did you apply the XA 6.5 critical patches?
The HDX setting you provided, are those your recommendations?  I didn't build the Citrix server so I don't know if it has the patches or not.  Is there a way to tell?
The HDX I provided are the settings that you can configure to allow for better performance. So for each of the settings; I provided the area in which they exist; for example - image compression exists under ICA -> Graphics. If you're asking about my recommendations, then yes just as Tony recommended this is where definitely you will want to tweak to improve the performance.

You can check the patches from the Programs Features in the control panel. You should be able to see there which patches have been already installed.
