Log and report internet speed tests

Im looking for a way (or software) that will run a speed test and log the results into a database.  I want to be able to log the internet speed from our datacenter, our website, and our external backup site every 60 seconds.. then save the results into a database..  Then I can run some trend reports based on the day or week of the month.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

all these products monitor either the switch or the network card.  I need to be able to log actually bandwidth speed from various locations.  Such as downloading a file from certain sites and log the speed.

For that case you could use RouterBoard OS(Mikrotik). You could see realtime traffic and monitor/control bandwidth.

Wow, I'm shocked that there isn't any bandwidth software out there that will track and record actual bandwidth speeds
