Hi I made a website on google sites with one of their templates no programming knowledge needed. I'm trying to add a paypal button to the site so that payments can be made to my paypal account through the site, now at paypal in your account they set this up for you all you need to do is paste the code they  give you into your website's code, ok fine so I copied the code they gave me added it to my site and the button appeared but when you click on it it does nothing with Chrome, as in webpage doesn't go anywhere, when I try it in forefox it makes the button dissapear when clicked as in takes away the whole paypal block only a black background is left and if I try on Internet Explorer the block turns into an error saying "This content cannot be displayed in a frame" so at least IE gives an error. What can I do? The whole site is https.

yes I followed all their instructions, when I hit F12 and debug it says "HTTPS security is compromised by http://www.tiptoptens.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/nuclear-warhead.jpg" so a pic is messing with the security. It's a pic from another website, do I need to re-add all pics from my pc or something?

Ideally YES, it is not correct to mix insecure and secure items and I reproduced your error exactly.. Don't know of a fix and it's not related to the mixed content

Dmon443--Unless you like to surf on tiptoptens.com, add that to your HOSTS file, which should block it from being accessed.
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Or run a Search on tiptoptens.com on your PC and see if there are any installation, files, etc. and delete/disable (rename) if you find them.  This will allow easy re-enabling if you still want to access.

I changed the picture but now it just comes up with a bunch more errors

SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by res://ieframe.dll/forbidframing.htm
SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by res://ieframe.dll/ErrorPageTemplate.css
SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by res://ieframe.dll/errorPageStrings.js
SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by res://ieframe.dll/httpErrorPagesScripts.js
SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by res://ieframe.dll/red_x.png
SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by res://ieframe.dll/bullet.png
SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by res://ieframe.dll/background_gradient.jpg

So it looks like the whole site is not secure enough for paypal to work. I think I must make another plan to add payments to the site.
