I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

it could be filter applied to folder or PST. View -> View Settings-> Filters & clear all filters
it could be you are using 2 places to login. maybe one place youare using mailbox as default & another place PSt as default.
it could be auto archiving.

You can find the last seven day option in the Filter settings.

There is also a possibility that MAPI views are corrupted. First search the outlook with all item option if you are able to view the email then it is the MAPI view corruption.

The mapi tool is a free tool available.

I lost the link to recover this option. Please let me know if this is the problem, I will send you that link.

If you close Outlook (shut Outlook down), and then re-open it, does the Mail return?  I stopped using Outlook Favourites to cure this problem.

Use copy, it is always recommended to copy the data. Copy/Compare/Delete. Move option always has the risk.

Have you checked my suggestions. There is a possibility that the MAPI view is disturbed, check by searching the emails with all items option enabled. For correction you have to use MAPITOOL.
