I'm trying to take a snapshot from 3 Act i IP Cameras using 30 min intervals using Snap Utility ver. 2.1.08.11 and all i'm getting is a snapshot of a black screen.  I am able to see the feed once i log into the camera.  Does anyone know what going on here?

That's usually an indication that you can't handle the video.  Do you have software that will play what is being streamed from the cameras (not by logging into the cameras)?  Usually, the camera manufacturer (Acti) will provide remote monitoring software, which includes a software codec to display the video.

The Snapshot software is the only one I have and is provided by Acti.  Apparently, the previous IT person was able to get the software to take snapshots so I didn't modify the settings.  But when I tried it, all it took were black screens.  I browsed thier website and couldn't find any codecs.  When I hit test settings, a picture actually comes up.

Try installation on a different PC - if it used to work, something may have changed on on the environment, and a fresh install may give hints on that.
