ERWIN rev Eng from SQL Server 2005

Hi,

I am trying to reverse engineer a SQL Server 2005 DB with Erwin Reverse Engineering tool and I am getting the following error:

Unable to locate client connectivity software. Check with your database administrator to install the appropriate client software.

Anyone know why?

Thanks in advance and regards.

I wear a lot of hats...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Find c:\windows\systems32\ntwdblib.DLL,

Copy that to  "c:\program files\CA\AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler" folder.

That may the problem - ntwdblib.DLL
is a SQL Server Database module - do a global search to see if you can locate this D;; anywhere on your machine

It is not in my machine.

Can it be downloaded from an official Microsoft page (msdn,...)?

I am not 100% sure of a definite official download location - but I have seen the following location mentioned
http://www.dlldll.com/ntwdblib.dll_download.html

You could download it and see if this resolves the problem and then decide on finding an official source - I will have another search and see if I can get something more for you on the 'official' aspect
