We're integrating our site (not ecommerce site) to paypal and we can't get the paypal payment page to show the amount and description of purchase.  Our current payment page is called current_paypal_page.jpg as attached. But the payment page we want is paypal_page_we_want.jpg

Our code snippet is below.

"&AMT=$paymentAmount
&RETURNURL=$returnURL
&CANCELURL=$cancelURL
&PAYMENTACTION=$paymentType
&CURRENCYCODE=$currencyID
&NOSHIPPING=1&L_PAYMENTREQUEST_0_NAME0=$title
&L_PAYMENTREQUEST_0_DESC0=$transdetail
&L_PAYMENTREQUEST_0_AMT0=$paymentAmount
&L_PAYMENTREQUEST_0_QTY0=1
&ITEMAMT=$paymentAmount";

Above is the request string that i used for setExpressCheckout and doExpressCheckout. up till NOSHIPPING is working. the later part...
L_PAYMENT... are the ones that supposed to give the amount thing.

plus those request keep on changing per version that i'm not sure which one to use anymore. i'm requesting for paypal api version 58.

everything else is working. only this part.

Please put up a public URL that will allow us to see these pages in action.  If you want to add an item that can be purchased for a dollar, we will be able to make the purchase and watch the scripts as they move through the process.  Thanks, ~Ray

Uhh, you're in test and development mode, right?  Wouldn't it make sense to have a test bed so you can test without exposing anything that you wanted to keep secret?  It only costs a few pennies a day to set up a test bed and it would surely give you a lot of options for rebuilding, getting help, etc.  I strongly recommend it!

for the paypal payment, our site request from the paypal api
(https://api-3t.paypal.com/nvp) tokens and other info which then forwarded to the paypal page to build the express checkout flow.

the request string is the way for us to control which info to be displayed on the payment page.

there's no error because the amount and purchase info do not fall under the required string. the request can be process with or without them.
