Monitoring Software -- Web, MSSQL, Oracle, etc

I tested http://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg9/http_advanced_sensor.htm and like it, but don’t want to spend a lot of money to monitor 100+ sensors.

Please does someone have another freeware or a low-cost soltuion ?

Or Icinga. Basically it's Nagios-on-steroids. Looks kinda nice.
