sbs 2011: Want to change email address from only first name to firstname.lastname, but it doesn't work

sbs 2011: Want to change email address from only first name to firstname.lastname, but it doesn't work when I change it for a user?

I try in the console, but it doesn't change email address, or can't I do it that way?

do it in exchange management console. do to the recipient configuration--->mailboxes right click the mailbox--->properties--->email addresses untick automatically add email address based on the group policy, add email address and set is as reply. apply --.ok
