We have a Windows 2008 R2 RDS environment, and I can connect from a Windows machine and play wmv files through media player, but when I connect with an RDP session from a WYSE C class thin client and try to play the file, windows media player opens but then throws an error.  Is this possible to do through a thin client?  Is there a setting I'm missing on it?

Does these terminal have a sound that you attach as a local resource to the RDP session?
This is how the sound from the remote is being sent down throu the RDP connection to the local system, wise in this case.
Presumably you have USB connected audio speakers.

I contacted WYSE and requested the latest WNOS file.  Once I got that put on, everything now works although the video and audio on some files don't match up.

Installing the latest OS for the WYSE terminal solved the issue.
