Have a small 15-user network using 2003 SBS, primarily serves as file and print server and Exchange. Client purchased new SBS 2011 server. Need to move all roles to new server and then demote 2003 server and remove from network.  Have been following task list from demazter...

excellent information....everything was going smooth....no problems... now it appears stuck... the new server is at step "Expanding and installing files" and the progress bar is not moving. After about 30 minutes a popup read something about having dificulty acquiring AD information. I selected to continue with migration and still no change. Any ideas what is going and how to fix this? Thx...

Looks like I fouind the answer....

http://www.tt-systems.co.uk/blogs-of-an-it-engineer/entry/sbs-migration-active-directory-replication-is-taking-longer-than-expected.html

After doing this, progress bar jumped half way in under 10 minutes...
Hopefully the rest will be smooth....I'll close this after I know for sure...
