Licensing WEB Server - 2008 Standard

Hello!

I would like to know how to license a Windows Server 2008 STD edition that is going to be a WEB Server, running a site that is going to provide reports that would run on the same server...

This server would also be an SQL 2008 STD server, it would have a replicated database and it would run Reporting Services that would generate the reports called through the above site...

So, the question I have:
- what kind of licenses do I need to buy for the operating system...
- what kind of license do I need to get for the SQL server...
- do I need to buy CAL's...

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this...

Hi IS_IT,

Alright when it comes to licensing you need to contact an authorized dealer for the software you are asking questions for or the software company themselves which is MS in this case. If you were audited the information provided on this site would not be the proper information for you to prove why you purchase the licensing you purchased.

I am going to attach a licensing book from MS but I still recommend you call to speak with someone directly for your questions
