HTC Desire Android internal phone memory explorer software for windows

Hi All,

I am looking for an application that can be installed on Windows 7 that can explore, sort and find large files from the internal phone memory of a HTC Desire android phone.

There seems to be plenty of apps to explore SD cards, a few apps that can show files on the internal phone memory, but nothing that I have found that can search and sort files by size.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks Alexey,

Yes, we have looked at ES File Explorer.  It only installs on the phone, not in Windows and doesn't really sort files very well.  Looking for something a bit better.

Cheers

hmm, from general perspective, since Android is cagey about access permissions, you won't be able to access internal memory that easily - unless the phone is rooted.

I realise I am asking for the perfect app in an imperfect world!!!  Droid explorer is the closet I have found so far http://de.codeplex.com/

I realise rooting the phone may help, but I am looking for a solution that is going to suit for 15 staff members all with the same HTC Desire phone.  Although it is only 15 phones, I don't fancy rooting 15 phones and leaving the company phones in a mess if something goes wrong down the track and they don't know how to support them if I am not here.  Better to keep them standard in my opinion.

That's why I am looking for an app that may not yet exist!!!

ok, in such case the best I ever came across is Eclipse-DDMS :) but it doesn't search.

DE source code is available, it's VS2010 solution written in so perhaps someone could modify it to add search functionality

Thanks for your assistance Alexey,

I don't think I will find an application that is going to do everything I am after right now.  I am going to close the question.
