ms dynamic navision 5.5,i don't want to allow for some of users to know the cost of the item

dear all,

we are using MS Dynamic navision 5.5.

In PO, i don't want to allow for some of users to know the cost of the item but the problem is when the user select an item the default unit price appear on the line so how i can stop this behavior and in case i am compulsory to do it through the code where i can find the comment of the code, like triggers of the fields "NO." Location Code", "Unit of measure code".

regards,

Hi.

There is no version of NAV officially called 5.5? Are you running 5 SP1?

What you are asking for here is field level security which is not something NAV currently offers. You could of course remove the field altogether but this would affect all users. Also if you allow users to zoom records they can still see the value. Even if you hide the field they can still filter on the unit price column so they could apply filters such as unit price > 5 and continue until they find the value if they really wanted to.

You must really question the business process here and decide why you really don't want them to see this information.

Best Regards.
