I need to upgrade my Vcenter 2.5 update 4 to update 6a ,but when i try to download the patch it is asking for the license key or Serial number which has been mispalaced.

Is there a way we can find the license key in Virtual Center 2.5  which i am currently running on.
I tried checking on the LIC file but could not find it...

I am running on ESX 3.5 update 4.

Any help would be appreciated.

The LIC license file contains a LIC authorisation code which is generated from the license portal which has a record of your purchase and registration and your serial number. Your serial numbers can be found in the new My VMware license portal

make sure you are logged into the VMware license portal with the correct email address that has been registered.

You also need to have a valid support and subscription for VI3 to download VI3 updates.

It might be worth a call to your VMware Reseller or Partner.
