I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Issue a "reload" at the CLI. As long as you've saved the configuration, you're good to go.

Will it ask any questions when i issue the reload command?

Don JohnstonInstructorCommented:
It may ask if you want to save the config first. Since you already did you don't have to answer with a yes (but you could).

And it will also ask if you're sure you want to reboot. That one you will have to agree to.

Can it be rebooted through the web interface?

Sure.

Thanks!!! What about saving the current config through the web interface?

Sorry...I have a bunch of questions...When is says device reset? Does it actually reset it, like to a default config or factory settings or does it actually just reboot and keep the current config? Thanks again.

Don JohnstonInstructorCommented:
No. It's a reboot.

The only way to reset the config is to issue a write erase and then reload the switch.

I suggest that you refer to the 5400 Management and Configuration Guide. It has all of this information.
