change tapes  Cartridges  in tape library

i have  TS3100 Tape Library with 22 lto4 tape Cartridges now after 4 years i want to replace all the tape cartrides how i do it in the library ts3100?

I think that you need to use your software first, to put all the tapes as archive, then replace all the tapes, re-catalog them, and set up pools the same way they were before if needed.

So you need to first check the backup software and see how the library and tape pools are set up.

i use backup exe softwate so where i see that??

if you are not familiar with backup Exec, you really should read through the help and manuals, since it can be complicated , depending on your setup.

If you do not feel comfortable with the backup Exec program, and making changes,, then it would be wise to get support from Symantec or a consultant.
