"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

VSS Hotfix for Server 2008 R2/SBS 2011 and Windows 7

1)      If SP1 is installed, then we need to update only for Volsnap.sys file

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2632149
or
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2627052 (Same Version: 6.1.7601.21854; Any one) - LATEST

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2548124 (Version: 6.1.7601.21728) - to be installed in case above LATEST fails

2)      If SP1 is not installed, recommend to update to SP1 and then check the issue.
In case we cannot update to SP1, then apply the below Hotfixes:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977096 (Version: 6.1.7600.20617) - to be installed in case above LATEST fails for this file

c)       Update for:
