vsphere compliance checker naming convention

Can I ask if the names of the checks on the vsphere compliance checker relate to anything. If so is there a "key". For example the checks seem to start with either CON, HCN, HCM, HLG, HST, NCN, VMP, VMX, etc

I believe VMware devised the check mnemonics, so they fall in various categories, but Ive not seen a key.
