I need to import a thousand pictures into iPhoto from numerous folders. But I know there are duplicates in some cases.

Is there a way to import just the unique photos and have it not import a second or third copy when it's a duplicate?

Thanks.

There is an App for just that! Use the Duplicate Annihilator http://brattoo.com/propaganda/index.php. For $7.95 you can easily find duplicates from thousands of pictures. A real time saver.
