How to convert binary data from sqlserver 2005

I have a database field of image type that stores binary data. I want to get the binary data into an array  Any ideas of a stored procedure to get this data?

get binary data into array means you want to store it in C# or any other object oriented languages.

this article having is old sql2000 but might use full in your case.
