Should the Google analytics script be placed
 (
var _gaq = _gaq || [];
  _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-555173-XX']);
  _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);.......................................  etc. etc.)
be placed on EVERY page or just on the index page???

every page where you want to track it

what happens is, it opens a link to google on each page it is on. google in turn uses the 'refferer' -you  to add to its statistic database
