I can highlight a word and right click
search on google

I want to be able to right click and go to word in browser

I can not update because I am using a product that only works on firefox 8

okay you sent me
wikipedia.org?=highlightedWord


what I want is
highlightedWord in the browser window

Ahh.
Attempt to load highlighted string as a website - that would not be a word but at least two words with a dot.

You will still need grease money. Did you try it?

Not sure what you mean "didn't work" is not a lot of info
And one word? You mean a string consisting of a domain name with at least two parts as in bla.com
