Novell Login Lag

With some of our Windows XP Machines we have experienced Novell taking a long time to load the network drives after login.  This keeps explorer.exe from starting.  We can open up task manager and manually start explorer.exe and it loads fast after that.  If we login to workstation only and log in to novell after the desktop loads we dont have the lag issue before the drives load.

Do you experience a delay while processing the login script. You can try to clear the "Process login script" tag to see if that makes a difference. Furthermore, in Control Panel - Network Connections - Advanced - Advanced settings you can compare the provider order settings, if all your servers are novell servers then the Novell client should be higher in the list.
