incoming - outgoing server

Hi Experts,

I am setting up my mail with Comendo, in the incoming server IP address, I know I have to fill in my external IP, what about in the outgoing Server IP, what IP address should I put it here?

- my external IP(90.XX.XX.XX) also? or my internal IP(192.168.0.1)

Thanks and regards

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I believe this is your outgoing server but internal IP.

192.168.0.1 or whatever your internal IP is for your server.

What Comendo product are you using?

The outgoing server field is for specifying an SMTP server.

I need more info before answering.

I have managed to make it work. The outgoing server IP is actually also my external IP address since this IP is used for both send and receive email.

in my case, I use 90.xx.xx.xx for my incoming and outgoing server therefore I could not set my internal IP 192.168.0.1 as outgoing server IP.
