mini-google search index

Is there a way within mini-google to completely clear out the current search index, and kick it off again, so that it removes old references. I have tried doing the recrawl and even though it finds new pages, it doesn't seem to want to remove old links that are no longer present on the site or are being redirected with a 301.

I was hoping to avoid doing that, but it looks like that is the only option available to me, thanks for the link.
There is a reset index option under Administration!
