MED-V and Hyper-V

Heyas,

Just a quick query can someone kindly explain the functional difference between MED-V and HYPER-V.

Briefly:
Hyper-V is a virtualisation technology allowing multiple Virtual Machines to run on a single Physical Machine

MED-V is also a virtualisation technology but this allows Windows XP applications to run on Windows 7
