client ip address

If i am working on a cisco switch (layer 2 or layer 3) and i have a client ip address is it possible to figure out what switch access port that client is connected to?

Here is what i know:
1)  i can do this with a mac-address
2)  i can determine what vlan and associated ports are assigned to that vlan

thanks!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

show arp | inc 10.1.1.1
Internet  10.1.1.1               150   0022.90b7.b4f6  ARPA   FastEthernet0/0

Note, the above interface is the layer 3 (router) interface, you still have to find it on a L2 switch

To view VLAN and port assignments:

sh vlan brief

This will output all VLAN's and associated ports.
