Generic Mailbox inbox settings

We have a few generic mailboxes that are used by our developers that receive several test e-mails.  These mailboxes receive thousands of e-mails a day.  They would like the mailboxes setup to automatically delete e-mails out of the inbox (read or unread e-mails)from these mailboxes after 1 day.

The generic mailboxes are never logged onto.  The users have full rights to the mailboxes in question and they map them to their existing accounts to monitor them.  I attempted auto archiving but it appears that you need to have the account logged onto in order for the auto archive to take affect.

We are on Exchange 2010.

Thank you very much.
