I am running exchange server 2007 sp1 on my windows sbs server 2007 sp2, we have a sonicwall TZ180 firewall. Today Cablevision came in and changed our modem. Our static IP address did not change. We are no longer receiving emails from outside our network, though outgoing mail is still delivered. I ran exchange troubleshooting agent and received the error message "Serve does not support secure connections"

Please help me identify and resolve the source of the break in communications.

Does the new Cablevision modem have a firewall built in?  If it does, and it's blocking incoming SMTP traffic (port 25), you won't be able to receive any mail from the outside.  If the TZ180 is performing firewall duty for you, you don't need the firewall in the cable modem at all.  You might as well disabled it.  But as a minimum it has to be allowing incoming traffic on port 25.

Please visit www.canyouseeme.org and test port 25.  If your firewall allows port 25 through you should see SUCCESS.  If not - you need to configure your firewall.
Also if you support Secure SMTP, you would need to open Port 465.

Port 465 for Inbound SMTP - I don't think so!
Well for many years Outlook tried to use 465 to secure a connection to an SMTP server.  However you are correct, that's probably deprecated.
