Dear All,

I have an application which has an icon on the desktop, few hundred client PCs are using that application, icon has one property Server Address, which is currently "192.168.22.101", we'll shift server to another location soon and this IP address will change, now we have two options, either change the IP address on all client PCs manually or use Windows Group Policy (to change the IP address in registry) power to acheive the same with minimum efforts, would you please guide me right direction to acheive this?

Environment:

Windows Domain Controller - 2003 Server
Client PCs, Windows XP, Windows Vista/7

Regards,
Tayyab

To change such an icon would have to be done manually so far as I know.

in the future don't use a fixed ip address use a cname set in your dns to point to the address this way when you need to make a change it is a simple edit in your dns manager
