KILL exchange autodiscover

We are running SBS 2008 with Exchange 2010. We have hosted exchange in-house for a couple of years but are now moving to an off-site host. We setup everything off-site (transfer MX records, etc). I can access everything out of the domain, but when I try to setup the outlook account within the domain I cannot connect. According to the exchange hsot, it is something to do with our exchange server’s autodiscover service. How can I kill this? We don’t need it and I find where cannot stop it from running!

Just remove the autodiscover.domainname.com entry from DNS and your client machines will not use these features.
if I understand you correctly then the problem you are having is OFFSITE which means
you did not update your autodiscover.domain.com A record at your ISP.
if you press CTRL(hold it) and right click outlook icon in taskbar you will see  "connection status" , hit this and you can diagnose autodiscover from there.
