Edit VM settings click on hard disk and check mode.  If disk is independent it will not be allowed to be snapshotted.

last time I added on1e but I removed it already
do you have any current snapshots, is the VM running correctly?

yes last time I did few time, it's still in console manager of Snapshot
so you currently have snapshots visible in Snapshot Manager, and when you try to create a new snapshot, you get this error message.

"File <unspecified filename> was not found"

Can you perform any other tasks on the VM, e.g. Edit VM settings, Connect and Disconnect CDROM, Floppy etc?

there is no way to fix, have to use converter ?
I don't think Vmware easy to get error like this
I would recommend using VMware Converter, it will easily get you out of this problem.
