&nbsp; I recently implemented parental controls on an account on my imac - and have reset safari, cleared everything I could find to clear within Safari - and yet going to almost any web page that I usually go to asks me if I wnat to &quot;add the web site ad.double-click.net&quot; - I do not want to add, but don't want to have to answer the question at every site! &nbsp;I even tried to block the url, ran spyware cleanup applications, downloaded and ran a different browser; but the behavior remains the same (even on the new browser). &nbsp;Do I need to do something drastic?

Parental Controls and double-click popups

Programs written for the Apple operating systems are distinguished from software created for other operating systems in that it must be approved by Apple for use on its devices, whether it is from Apple (Final Cut, iWork, Keynote, Logic Pro and GarageBand are popular titles), or is a third party application from Parallels, Nuance, Microsoft and Amazon, among many others.

Spyware is software that aims to gather information about a person or organization without their knowledge and that may send such information to another entity without the consumer's consent, or that asserts control over a computer without the consumer's knowledge; it has also come to include programs that engage in various kinds of electronic fraud. Anti-spyware is software that removes or blocks that software; some common vendors include Malwarebytes, McAfee, Spybot-Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware and BitDefender.

Web browsers are applications used primarily to display documents, files and media from the Internet, identified by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) that can be a page, image, video or other file. Some browsers require the use of add-ons or extensions to safely render the information they receive; others have systems built into them to perform the same functions.
