Does ITIL cover documentation of servers/workstations? Say for example Mr or Mrs auditor asks “what does this server do”, “what is this account for”, “what services are running” etc, does an ITIL standard cover documentation, if so which?

And has anyone ever produced any Microsoft baseline documents to cover all ITIL is after. I.e. here is a sample document for a 2003 server on what level to document to comply with ITIL.

ITIL is a framework.

It does not cover specific servers, workstations, or operating systems or vendors.

it covers Procedures.
