Group Policy IE8 Default Search Google?

We have IE8 throughout our domain. I want to change the default search provider from Bing to Google. How do I do this?

I've searched Google extensively and only found really difficult solutions with no straight forward answer. I'm hoping there is just a simple ADM custom template I can add and be done with it?

We are running SBS 2011 (Essentially Server 2008) And a mixed environment from XP/Vista/7 for the clients.

Any help would be appreciated.

That's actually the main article I was looking at recently, it seems to be quite easy and the best solution. But I have one issue, every time I add it to my templates, it gives me the error shown below:

Try retyping that line manually (Line 2)...I have found that adm's either copy/pasted or downloaded have strange font or syntax errors(usually font)

I erased some of the comments, so now it's on (LINE 1). For some reason it does not like the first line..

Hmm, I figured this one be something that everyone does om their domains, funny how it's such a pain. Has anyone else done this for their domain?

I dont use custom ADM's, there's always a way with "Group Policy Preferences".

Also doesnt make any difference to us which search provider is used :)

Sorry I didn't see your posting above mine saying you found it, I did your solution and it worked! Our domain is now using it like a charm. Thanks so much for your help!

For future reference for other people:

1.) Go here: http://blogofanitadmin.blogspot.com/2011/05/group-policy-changing-default-search.html

2.) Save from pastebin as a ANSI text file. Then convert it to the ADM. It should show up under your classic administrative templates now. This is by far the easiest solution compared to other ones.
