I should note that I am creating a console application using VS 2005 with C#.

and you are stating this because you were not able to execute the above code in console application ?
you need to create a dsn first to connect to that sybase database.
Next you need to use ODBCConnection and ODBCCommand to execute your stord procedure.

Try with Enterprise Library's Data Access Block, it will simplify your task to connect to odbc.
